About Me

How we decide to see this world is an individual choice. My perspectives and opinions shape my state of being, my relationships and ultimately my reasons for existing. My views of this world can therefore become my gift to it or my burden upon it.

When I go out with my camera, I tend to seek out the beauty, essence and meaning in things where otherwise I’d been unaware. I find that I’m more captivated and connected with the world around me when my camera is in hand.

For me, photography cultivates a state of being where freedom and connection dominate constraint and isolation. It’s from this state that I’m in the presence of something that is greater and more potent than myself. Within that, I find myself compelled to view the world in ways that gift it, rather than burden it.

This is why I photograph.

A Wedding Nestled between a Mountain and a River (Index, WA)

Ken and Molly are passionate entrepreneurs. She is a life coach, motivational speaker and owner of Stratejoy, a thriving business aimed at inspiring generation Y women. Ken is the CEO of Email Broadcast, a strategic email marketing firm based in Seattle. Ken and Molly exchanged vows under the watchful eye of the magnificent Mount Index in Index, WA. The weather was perfect and the venue was elegant. The reception took place on the Skykomish River, and the ceremony was at Ken’s mother’s home where he grew up. I have to say that Ken’s mother has one of the most cared for and classy home gardens that I’ve ever seen. My favorite part of the day was witnessing the emotions that ensued shortly after the ceremony. I love it when there’s so much heartfelt love and happiness in the air.

Ken and Molly are currently on a honeymoon road trip of a lifetime. It might last weeks or months…they’re not tellin’ ;-) . Check out their newlywed ventures at http://mollyandken.wordpress.com
